Indian Photographer Prarthna Singh Takes Over Emaho Instagram Handle

Prarthna Singh is one of India's most promising young photographers. Currently based in Bombay, she is deeply interested in the transitional nature of modern India, and manages to strike a keen and meaningful balance between her personal and commercial work. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and her work traverses across digital, film, and video mediums.

India –

“These images are an ongoing conversation with my family and friends, strangers and passers-by. Some have stayed and grown up with me, some have been fleeting encounters. The time I get to spend with my subjects while making a portrait is healing, much like a session with a therapist. And each time I revisit these images, like a recurring dream, I return to a different moment where I get a chance to begin again, ask a whole new set of questions and at times ask the same questions over and over.” – Prarthna Singh
