Adil Hasan: When Abba was Ill

Adil is a photographer based in New Delhi, India. He completed his photographic studies from Auckland, New Zealand. His first book WHEN ABBA WAS ILL was launched at the Jaipur Literature Festival, 2014.

India – Mahmood Hassan passed away in November 2012 in Jamshedpur, his hometown, where he had worked with Tata Steel for 21 years. Adil is Mahmood Hassan’s son. He is a photographer based in New Delhi. He shot these photographs over 6 months as he came to terms with his father’s cancer. His old film cameras served as distractions from the reality of the illness.
