International Award for professional photographers
Until 31 May 2015, professional and emerging photographers have time to get their work together for the second international Felix Schoeller Photo Award and upload it to the website. The themed categories remain the same as in 2013: portrait, landscape/nature, architecture/industry, photojournalism/editorial photography, and free choice/conceptual photography. The overall winner will be chosen from the category winners. Prize money of € 2,000 will be awarded in each category, and the overall winner can look forward to another € 10,000.
Again the emerging photographer prize is a special category in the international Felix Schoeller Photo Award. It will be awarded to emerging professional photographers, i.e. student or trainee photographers and photographic assistants. The winner of the 2015 Emerging Photographer Award will receive a non-monetary prize donated by Phase One, a Danish manufacturer of high-end, open-platform medium-format cameras. Phase One is going to give the winner the use of one of its camera systems for a month. The referable rental rate for the equipment included would amount to approx. €18,000.

The international Felix Schoeller Photo Award is one of the richest professional photography competitions in the German-speaking world. It honours work that demonstrates a strong conceptual basis and the highest standards of image quality. As a manufacturer of specialty papers for high-quality photo reproductions, the Felix Schoeller Group supports professional photographers who share the passion for uncompromisingly good photos. The prize was launched in 2013 and is awarded every two years. 2013’s premiere was a resounding success, attracting 1,300 entries from 26 countries.
