India –  Photography is my passion, always has been, as far back as I can remember… People from all walks of life; each with their own story, captured for eternity, in an indelible image are central to this passion. I love shooting in the city, getting lost as I walk down streets and alleys looking for the next subject to point my camera towards and capture the moment… When people see me pointing my camera towards them I just smile and sometimes they smile back, others they frown or get angry and I have had things thrown at me!

My passion in photography was further ignited in 2013 when I had an opportunity to attend a workshop with Jay Maisel in New York. Five days with the photography Guru – learning from him, seeing through his eyes, getting critiqued – changed my perception of people, the inanimate, the mundane… my eyes now see a world so different. I shoot, I capture, I smile and I shiver when I feel the depth of emotion in the picture.

As a photography enthusiast, all proceeds from this show will be donated to The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art towards the development of programs that will bring photography closer to underprivileged children in India.
